Job Summary

Good Samaritan Society - Specialty Care Community provides post-acute rehabilitation services in both our young adult and geriatric communities following a hospitalization or serious illness, we also provide care for Memory, Behavioral, and Huntingtins.

Specialty Care Community has been recognized as a recipient of the Silver – Commitment to Quality Award for its dedication to improving the lives of residents through quality care from the American Health Care Association. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. Cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Responsible for the coordination of care, resident assessment, resident education and various other nursing interventions.

Provides adequate assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolution of care and service concerns.

Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.

Department Details

Overtime after 8 hours in a day

Shifts are every other weekend only 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • RN licensure for state of practice is required

  • Knowledge and familiarity with the therapeutic effects and side effects of all medications administered
