We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead our Activities for our state of the art Independent Living Facility at the Good Samaritan Water Valley Senior Living Resort in Windsor, CO. As an Activity Supervisor, you will create and implement resident activities and events. This position also has managerial duties, managing activity staff schedules and coordinating volunteer staffing and activities.
You will work rotating evenings and weekends as scheduled on the activity calendar. You will also drive our 12 seat or 6 seat passenger van to bring candidates to applicable activities.

Reports problems, concerns and information to leadership in an appropriate and timely manner. Communicates department activities and information to employees. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strives to improve the quality of life for the residents by providing appropriate, meaningful activities and interventions on a one-on-one and/or group basis. Administers the monthly activity calendar. Regularly elicits residents input into activity planning and keeps activities well organized and upbeat, following all state required activities such as music, craft and spiritual activities. Partakes in activities such as fishing, nature walks, pet therapy, music therapy and others in order to support residents and ensure they are functioning at an optimal level while also maintaining dignity and identity. Assists with simple nursing procedures and transporting residents to and from rooms.
Demonstrates leadership abilities such as developing and motivating people. Possesses the ability to work with strong willed residents and/or behavioral issues. Maintains strong critical thinking skills and problem solving skills. Prioritizes responsibilities while working autonomously. Plans and oversees the utilization of resources and designs of work processes.
Associate degree preferred.
Successful completion of an accredited training program approved by state preferred.
Two years experience in this field preferred. Knowledge of working with a wide variety of resident demographics. Experience in social services or creative activities. Minimum of one year previous leadership/management experience preferred.
Current valid driver’s license, and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers. Basic Life Support (BLS).
